Reimbursement Manager - APAC

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish short-term and long-term roadmap to establish adequate payment systems in key markets
  • Develop market access strategies, including alignment with pricing, within the APAC region
  • Gain hospital funding, Private funds reimbursement and government/public funding for the Abiomed devices/therapy
  • Address cost effectiveness concerns through cost-effectiveness model development, health economic assessment and education
  • Work with local partner to get Health Technology assessment done, Cost effectiveness data modelled for each market to get the maximum feasible reimbursement for physician payment, device reimbursement and DRG development
  • Continual development of reimbursement programs and tools for ABIOMED’s hospital clients and field-based teams
  • Collaborate with global teams to create new evidence and model global evidence to local market requirements/costs

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in medical field, business, health economics or finance.
  • 5+ years of Reimbursement/ Market Access Experience, with few years in medical device industry.
  • Good understanding of Reimbursement pathways, in minimum of two geographies in APAC
  • Exposure to Health Economics analysis/ HTA submissions in APAC markets for new Therapy category
  • Ability to negotiate and influence hospital C-suites and payors, by presenting Cost effectiveness arguments
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively and be a team player
  • Willingness to travel 40%
