Sales Manager India

The Sales Manager is a new senior position within our APAC Organization. This position will be responsible for driving growth in India by leveraging existing accounts for higher utilization and leading the wider Impella therapy adoption. The SM will lead the discussions with Clinical leadership and C Suite of the targeted accounts and initiate successful Impella Heart Recovery Programs in India. SM will oversee the distributor operations and ensures best patient outcomes in India.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Direct all the India sales activities
  • Oversee national and regional distributors operations
  • Develop Commercial sales plan to fulfill the assigned growth and revenue goals for India 
  • Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of the Company’s products and services
  • Set sales goals and forecasts in consultation with APAC team/clinical team for the distributors
  • Leverage existing accounts for deeper and wider Impella Therapy penetration
  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts with good outcomes as well new products in India
  • Create customized cost effectiveness arguments for each account and support getting reimbursement to Impella in India
  • Handle difficult sales negotiations, close the starter package sales, and launch structured Impella Heart Recovery Programs, in partnership with clinical and distributor teams
  • Build relationships with critical decision makers and KOL'S in the assigned area
  • Participate in scientific conferences, congresses, and webinars in partnership with Marketing and Physician Education teams to support the advocacy of Impella Therapy
  • Partner with APAC Team to create and roll out Patient Education and Outreach Programs in the region
  • Pitch in as needed to support the clinical team to get the best outcomes for the patients
  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BS or advanced degree
  • 10+ years of experience in medical device with a long sting in cardiovascular space is a must
  • Experience in leading broader commercial activities on zone/national level is required
  • Experience in managing distributors and assisting in market access for new therapies in India market
  • Proven track record of success in launching high value therapies and achieving high growth rates
  • Hands-on mentality, ability to roll up the sleeves and support the team any time
  • Ability to negotiate and influence KOLs, hospital C-suites and payors
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively and be a team player
  • Willingness to travel 80%
