This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a new video/content production team in a fast-growing company with a strong patient-centered mission. The video editor is a key position, helping set the creative direction of Abiomed’s visual storytelling, ensuring the highest quality standards.


You have extensive editing experience in a professional environment, backed-up with a strong portfolio of creative work. You bring ideas to the table, along with a positive attitude. You’re comfortable tackling a project that may last several weeks, or a quick turn that needs to be finished in only a few hours. Overall, you have a passion for storytelling, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position will work directly with the Operations Manager & Executive Producer, as well as a the broader Communications team, to produce compelling visual stories that highlight the benefits of heart recovery, share Abiomed’s culture, and educate medical professionals on the benefits of Impella.


Desired Skills:


- An excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, emphasis in Premiere & After Effects

- A strong understanding of a broadcast studio environment.

- A solid grasp of sound-mixing & color correction

- The ability to work as a camera operator is a strong plus

- Self-directed with the ability to work collaboratively with others and under limited supervision

- Able to adapt and execute when there are changes or challenges to a project

- Understands company processes, and accurately follows policies and procedures

- Excellent communication, in-person, via email, over the phone, etc.

- Always maintains a positive professional approach and attitude  

- Must dress accordingly to a corporate business environment

- Has a flexible approach to work hours, where shifts may vary according to workload

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
