If that’s you, Abiomed has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join the Impella Connect team to help build something completely new for this top-performing medical device company. This is an exciting opportunity to impact development initiatives that will shape future product development and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design cloud infrastructure requirements and drive their implementation to protect cloud product networks and systems
  • Support internal/external audits and regulatory submissions by gathering operational control evidence for review
  • Conduct security reviews of core production infrastructure
  • Drive security improvements to cloud products and services
  • Identify and implement security tools and build processes for critical infrastructure protection, monitoring and remediation.
  • Act as champion and educate the enterprise on the operational aspects of cloud product security
  • Comfortable operating in an environment with a considerable amount of ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Thinks across organizational boundaries and empathizes with customers, both internal and external
     

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience with 5 years of relevant industry experience in security
  • Background in one of the following: devops, networking or cloud security, Linux system administration, or cloud backend/architecture with security responsibilities
  • Experience working with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, Cloud Security Alliance, etc.)
  • Experience with security risk management techniques and tactics
  • Experience with attacks and mitigation methods, working in two or more of the following:
    • Network protocols and secure network design
    • Web application and browser security
    • Authentication and access control
    • Applied cryptography and security protocols
    • Security monitoring and intrusion detection
    • Incident response and forensics
       

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Azure AZ-500 Certification
  • 2 years of experience designing or review security best practices in or cloud computing environments (Azure preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in vulnerability management, including identification, risk assessment, mitigation and/or remediation
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA preferred)
  • Experience working with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
