We currently have the opportunity for a Senior System Test Engineer II with experience in system level testing to join our growing and high-performing team! This key team member will be responsible for verifying and validating the medical systems and hardware used in ABIOMED’s family of products.  We are looking for a motivated and energetic self-starter, someone who has a ‘make it happen’ attitude who can thrive in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.



  • Design, develop and execute test cases and protocols to verify system design
  • perform EMC and Safety testing on systems
  • Write system level requirements 


  • 5-10 years of experience in system testing
  • Knowledgable with IEC 60601-1 standards for the safety and essential performance of medical electrical equipment
  • Excellent writen and verbal communication skills 
  • B.S. in computer science, electrical engineering or equivelant 

General Requirements:

  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn and explore new technologies
  • Independent, efficient, and able to manage competing priorities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Advanced degree
