Abiomed is looking for an experienced systems and business process analyst to help lead the service management organization into the future. The ideal candidate will have a passion for figuring out how to leverage system solutions to optimize service management performance and capabilities.  The SAP Business & Systems Analyst will partner with functional leads/SME’s, business stakeholders, and IT to interpret business objectives and translate them into user requirements and workable technology solutions, while also monitoring performance and working to quickly resolve any technical issues or constraints.

 

This individual will lead optimization and effectiveness of the global service management business processes and systems including their design, architecture, configuration, and integration across the business. (Example systems/modules: SAP S4 – Service Management, CS, IBP, BW, MRP, MM, MRP). 

 

They will achieve this through their knowledge of best-in-class service management processes, deep systems subject matter expertise, and strong collaboration with process development, customer service, quality, manufacturing, finance, and IT.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Function as the business user representative for service management processes (Scheduling, maintenance planning, logistics, RMA, labeling, shipping/receiving, and invoicing), and interact with function owners and business process leaders/ SME’s to define optimal processes leveraging SAP S4 and other systems
  • Proactively review processes and analyze data to identify opportunities and/or problems.  Recommend and oversee actions for improvement.
  • Lead and manage blueprint workshops, working with business function owners to understand business requirements and translating these into SAP configuration specifications for the SAP IT Team
  • Utilize Critical Thinking to develop and document test cases and scripts to challenge the system and ensure acceptance criteria is met; Establishing SAP test plans and perform testing together with business owners; Document acceptance testing, end to end testing, report test results, bug reports, and drive resolution of defects.
  • Develop training plans for all new applications and lead training initiatives for functional team
  • Develop and manage system roadmap (in collaboration with functional lead/management and IT) - Including prioritization, schedule adherence, performance tracking, and post-delivery value confirmation.
  • Point of escalation for Service management systems performance issues; Triage issues to provide guidance and resolve issues
  • Lead or participate in systems project identification and feasibility, design, configuration, testing, and implementation phases of projects 
  • Additional projects assigned by the manager

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; IT, service management, or Business discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of proven Business Process Analyst experience and/or work supporting SAP system (specifically Field Service, CS solutions) design, develop, implementation, testing IT systems based.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP Service management modules (Service and CS)
  • Service management, including Service Contracts & Logistics process knowledge
  • Experience with third-party solution integration
  • Technical aptitude: the ability to learn new systems and information quickly
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms understandable to the business, needs to be able to train the organization
  • Strong program management experience – ability to lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups, Scrum experience highly preferred
  • Capable to build relationships with the key business stakeholders to understand their needs
  • Experience in FDA regulated industry and familiarity with CFR 21 Part 11, GMP, SAS, and Sarbanes Oxley preferred
