Abiomed is seeking an innovative individual with Salesforce experience to join our growing Salesforce team! 

 

The Salesforce Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions for multiple projects. This key team member will own responsibility for the overall technical health & management of the tool, including the formulation and recommendation of operational, upgrade and general management policies and standards for the platform.  This is an exciting chance to lead technical success of one of the most influential business applications in a global, publicly-traded medical device company that is recovering hearts and saving lives.  The ideal new team member for this opportunity will be resourceful, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with a passion for understanding the business needs and implementing technical solutions in a way that fulfills those needs.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary technical resource for projects and initiatives related to Salesforce.
  • Lead design workshops and technical requirements gathering.
  • Develop design specifications and guide the development activities.
  • Lead the development team in all project phases.  Code, test and deploy according to Salesforce best practices.
  • Provide overall systems architecture expertise and build upon existing environment
  • Identify system enhancements and develop proposals to optimize the platform
  • Manage Salesforce administration and configurations including organizational structure, app integrations and other subscriptions.
  • Manage the process of evaluating and deploying Salesforce platform upgrades and releases.
  • Lead Proof of Concepts and technical solutioning.
  • Develop solution presentations for both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Participate in code reviews sessions

 

Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Developer certification required
  • At least 4 years of experience developing technical solutions within Salesforce
  • Experience working with Force.com platform (Apex Code, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce Pages, HTML, JavaScript, Web Service APIs)
  • Firm understanding of Salesforce Lightning
  • Deep understanding of SFDC concepts and practices; able to identify the appropriate use of native tools vs customization via Apex/Visualforce development.
  • Strong understanding of database design concepts, data migration and data integration
  • Experience with integration tools
