Job Responsibilities:


The Logistics Specialist will assit in multiple areas within the operations department. The daily tasks will range from performing Shipper/Receiver duties and PTO clerk functions. These duties include receiving and verifying in-coming material and supplies. Prepare and ships finished product to customers and field support. Picking material and kitting product to build fished goods. Perform quality checks and inspection on purchased material, partially assembled or finished medical devices. Review of quality documents and provide support as needed to the operations group.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Receive, unpack, and warehouse in-coming materials and supplies 
  • Check in-coming goods against documentation 
  • Sort and count materials, supplies and finished goods as needed 
  • Make entries into inventory database, prepare periodic reports
  • May perform kitting, labeling, or other duties prior to shipping products 
  • Prepare necessary documents for shipping goods
  • May be required to operate a forklift or other loading/stacking heavy equipment
  • Perform visual inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company product according to well-defined criteria
  • Accurately document the results of inspections
  • Perform data entry into associated data systems, SAP knowledge preferred
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to the supervisor


Job Qualifications:


  • High School graduate or equivalent experience required
  • 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience in a high volume setting, medical device experience preferred
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to utilize basic math skills
  • Valid driver’s license as on occasion driving to the FEDEX depot will be necessary
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs and manufacturing and inspection procedures
  • Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision
  • Computer literacy required, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MRP system; SAP knowledge desired


Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, climb, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.  The employee is frequently required to lift and / or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and / or move up to 75 lbs.
