The IT Application Analyst will support the Manufacturing team by evaluating the business requirements of internal clients and then designing and bilding software solutions to meet their needs. This position will also maintain and support these systems, using best practice processes and according to the Abiomed change management procedure. 


Essential Functions:

  • Work with end users and technical team to implement business solutionsusing MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
  • Project preparation activities including detailed project plans, time estimates & schedules.
  • Needs analysis, design reviews and detailed design specification development based on requirements.
  • New development, enhancement,and defect resolution of assigned systems
  • Report development, data interfaces, analysis and design, dialog programming
  • Support and maintenance, program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, gathering,and writing technical specifications
  • Maintains procedures, documentation, and change-control for the performance of these duties.


Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience with manufacturing applications, especially with MES.
  • Experience with relational database technologies (MS SQL Server)•Good analytical skills and ability to work with customer-oriented teams in a global environment•Excellent Customer Service andcommunication skills.
  • Experience with application development (ASP.NET, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON)a plus.
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Integration (SSIS, Biztalk, Boomi, Mulesoft, Informatica) a plus.
  • Experience in FDA regulated industry and familiarity with CFR 21 Part 11, GMP, SAS, and Sarbanes Oxley a plus.
