The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the global commercial marketing strategy for Abiomed. This person will drive the US downstream marketing strategy and execution (launches, campaigns, initiatives, trade shows, events) and collaborate closely with our global clinical marketing and global upstream marketing to ensure successful penetration of Abiomed's therapies by identifying actionable growth strategy and effectively enabling the field commercial organization.
 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 

  • Develop and drive innovative programs to expand awareness and adoption of Impella as the preferred treatment option amongst the treating physician, referring physician and patient communities.
  • Develop concerted marketing programs/sales campaigns based on segmentation to drive marketing and commercialization strategy.
  • Effectively launch/distribute/disseminate Abiomed’s innovative products, key messages, clinical evidence and best practices to the field commercial organization
  • Feature new products and messaging in advertisement, tradeshows, patient brochures, print and digital tools.
  • Identifying key adoption barriers in referral pathways, organize, distribute marketing collaterals, assets and tools to overcome the barriers and promote heart recovery programs.
  • Build deep understanding of target markets, including evolving technology and healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, unmet needs, and geographic-specific factors.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of current literature, emerging science, technological developments and trends on relevant therapies and competitive products. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements
 

  • A minimum of 5 years marketing experience with solid business acumen and knowledge of medical device market environment is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is required. Postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • Marketing experience in the cardiology space is preferred.
  • Very strong powerpoint skill is essential. Digital marketing experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Possesses good organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritization in order to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
  • Consistently pushes self and others to achieve challenging goals and objectives with a track record of executional successes based on integrity. Can be counted on to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans and deliver results.
  • Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders through utilization of organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales & marketing leadership.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, and multi-functional partners.
  • Creative out of the box thinker who is intellectually curious.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
