Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement design requirements into testable software units.
  • Implement pre-built, machine learning algorithms.
  • Implement UI requirements to display pump/patient data in real-time.
  • Transform and load de-identified patient data from EMR/EHR systems in electronic data capture (EDC) platforms.
  • Perform unit testing and security testing activities.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Biological Sciences or Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with server-side programming language (C++/C#, Erlang/Elixr, and Python preferred)
  • Experience with front-end/UI frameworks (Qt for desktop or Vue, React, Angular for Web preferred)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or experience with relational and document-style databases
  • A successful history of extracting value from large, distributed datasets
  • Strong analytic skills working with structured and unstructured data
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communicator who can work across disciplines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medical data systems (EMR/EHR, EDC, etc.) and medical coding standards (ICD-10, WHODrug, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, etc.)
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP)
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure or AWS preferred)
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
