Associate Director Reimbursement & Market Access EMEA

  • Lead a growing team of reimbursement specialists and network of outside consultants
  • Education & communication of major governmental agencies & payers within Europe and in particular Germany
  • Develop market access strategies, including alignment with pricing, within the EMEA region
  • Continual development of reimbursement programs and tools for ABIOMED’s hospital clients and field based teams
  • Analysis of key customer needs including coding (ICD-9/ICD-10, DRG, CPT), claims denials, procedural documentation
  • Quarterly business reviews with hospital and physician group reimbursement teams
  • Include health economic aspects & payer  perspectives into business plans, marketing plans & materials


Required Skills:


  • Masters qualification or higher in medical field, business, economics or finance.
  • Proven success establishing reimbursement and improving reimbursement for innovative medical devices or new therapies in major EU markets
  • Enthusiasm to work within a fast-paced, fast-growing organization
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel (50%-70%)
  • Fluency in English & German. Other European languages desired
