Breethe is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team in the development of a portable artificial lung (ECMO) system.  This novel technology is already helping patients, and this key team member will be responsible for ensuring our efforts to innovate for the patient continue. In this exciting role involving a great deal of ownership and responsibility, the Sr. Lab Tech will support the development and manufacturing of a device containing digital controls, sensors, batteries, user controls/displays, pneumatics, fluidics, pump drives and other mechanical systems that communicate with blood and oxygen. Primary Responsibilities


  • Electromechanical assembly, prototyping and fabrication.
  • Inspection of mechanical components.
  • Verification of specifications by measuring and testing.
  • Development and assembly of test fixtures.
  • Refinement of manufacturing processes.
  • Support of laboratory operations and testing.
  • Conduct experiments and collect data.
  • Work as an integral member of the product development team throughout the product lifecycle, working with mechanical, electrical, software and firmware enginee


  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a Product Development / Product Design or Manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Engineering documentation, assembly drawings & manufacturing procedures
  • Experience with electromechanical devices
  • Ability to use a variety of machine and hand tools
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office

Education Requirements


  • Associates degree in a technical field, preferably electrical or mechanical
