The professional Abiomed Europe Clinical Support Center is a newly created department that is currently under development. Joining the team now gives you the opportunity to actively participate in the design of your future field of work.

Once complete, the Abiomed Europe Clinical Support Consultant Team will provide our customers and field team with remote clinical and technical support for all Abiomed's products on a 24 hours a day 7 days a week basis. The Clinical Support Consultant acts as a mentor and conducts advanced clinical training via the Clinical Support Center. As part of the Medical Office EMEA the CSC will work closely together with the EMEA Training Team as well as the field staff to help with training, product launches, marketing and administrative duties. The position is primarily home based.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Act as a patient management consultant to customers and field staff
  • Proactively follow up with peers on all issues identified during shift activities until resolution is achieved
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in all approved clinical and technical techniques
  • Uphold a patient first customer service focus
  • Identify and record internal and external training needs in Salesforce
  • Provide clinical resources to the customer and field team
  • Maintain and carry out the Plan of Care
  • Oversee all active patients on support to ensure a proper check-in and daily updates are complete
  • Monitor and analyze all Salesforce case entries for accuracy and clinical description
  • Communicate with appropriate resources to ensure each patient and customer receive optimal support
  • Ensure quality tracking by identifying and entering CI’s


CSC Secondary Responsibilities


  • Marketing/Trade show support
  • Assist with quality, product development and educational projects as needed
  • Participation in Abiomed trainings and certification programs for the field


Job Qualifications


  •  Successfully completed apprenticeship as nurse, male nurse or physician
  •  A minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience.  A strong clinical background including patient management, Intensive Care, emergency care or similar is strongly preferred
  •  Previous Impella experience is strongly preferred
  •  Fluent german and english language skills
  • As soon as the team is fully staffed, the team schedule will be planned on a 3 shift model
